Riverhead Parish Council, a local government body, is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic person to fill the post of part-time Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer.
Hours of work: 21 hours per week, including the evening monthly Parish Council meeting. Flexible working will be considered.
Salary: The hourly rate is £15.16-£17.04 (set using the NJC salary scale) and is dependent on experience and qualifications; benefits include a workplace pension.
To apply, applicants must demonstrate the following:
- that they have experience in administration, financial accounting and budgeting.
- A keen desire to build relationships at all levels
- Be able to demonstrate strong organisational time management, administrative and IT skills.
- Applicants should have an interest in the local community and in upholding the positive reputation of the council.
No local government experience is needed as training is available.
